About the Center

On September 25, 2021, the Shenzhen International Center for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SICIAM) was launched. It was formally registered as the Futian Branch of the Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data in December 2022. The Center is led by Academician Ma Zhiming (Director) and Professor Wang Xiaoping (Executive Deputy Director). SICIAM brings together world-class talents in industrial and applied mathematics, focusing on three key areas: AI theories, methods, and applications; development of core solvers for intelligent industrial software; and theories and applications of scientific computing and applied mathematics. The Center is committed to attracting top international talents, fostering global academic exchange, promoting international cooperation in applied mathematics, and addressing core technological challenges of national importance in collaboration with industry.
